Attention: Men and Women Over 60 Who Desire Improved Quality of Life
Discover How to Take 10 years Off Your Body Without Wasting Your Hard Earned Money on Pills, Shots, or Surgery
Dear Friend:
If you are 60 you are no doubt dealing with the prospect of physical decline. Let me assure you that just because you are 60 or above, physical decline is NOT inevitable. You have the power to make major positive changes that will significantly improve the quality of your life. The changes I'm talking about do NOT involve taking a bunch of drugs, hormone replacement shots, vast array's of "supplements" or unnecessary medical procedures. The changes I'm talking about can be accomplished with many things that are natural, non-invasive, and under your control.
Your age will always be whatever it is. However, when it comes to your health and vitality, you have the power to turn back the clock a decade or more! You can go from being 60 years "old" to 60 years "YOUNG".
Isn't this a cool idea? You can have the benefits of all your years of life experience, but live in a body that is much younger than your calendar age. Your reward for being fit and healthy is that 24/7 you get to enjoy the benefits of a body that doesn't limit what you can do. It never occurs to you to not take a trip or do some enjoyable activity because your body won't be able to stand up to the rigors of long airplane rides, long walks, dancing, lifting, golfing, skiing....you get the idea....no real limits. You will be able to do a huge number of activities with ease that many others over age 60 either cannot do at all, or can do only with great difficulty.
Another great benefit of getting in good conditon is that you will experience fewer of the "aches and pains" that seem to dominate the lives of many of our age peers. Having a well developed muscle system helps eliminate or drmatically reduce pain in the back, legs, neck and shoulders. While each case is different, most people find that when they become better conditioned, many of their recurring pains disapppear or are dramatically reduced.
How to Go from being Stuck in an Armchair to Being an Athlete
This statement may seem strange if you are over 50 or 60....but it is possible and you can do it. You need to believe that the sky is the limit for you. If you believe you can transform yourself, you have made the first step toward making that come true. If you believe that you can't accomplish the transformation....you are right.
There is NO pill, potion or 5 minute work out that will take ten years off your body. If anyone trys to sell this to you, they are stealing your money. What WILL WORK is a progressive training program. By that I mean a systematic program that shows you how train, what to eat, and how to progress. The program I have designed will show you how to start with the most basic movements and gradually build up to the point where you will be doing things that will amaze you. This does not take place overnight....it takes place over a period of time where you master successive stages of conditioning. Each stage is the foundation for the next. In the program I have devised for you there is an entire year of training programs for you to use.
It is easy to say that no pill or quick fix will help you transform your body, but let's look a little closer and see what things you actually need to develop to take ten years off your body. If you look beyond merely being able to get out of bed in the morning, and function at a minimal level all day, there are four types of physical capacity you need to develop to be physically viable. They are:
- Cardiovascular capacity
- Physical strength
- Motor skills
- Flexibility
Physical strength is another component of a young body. By that I don't necessarily mean the ability to lift massive amounts of weight (although that is possible). To have a young body, you need to be strong enough to easily do whatever daily tasks you might want to do. This can include simple tasks like cutting firewood, shoveling snow or taking a challenging hike. It can also include more demanding things like playing a strong round of golf (while walking and carying your bag), playing a dominating tennis game, or doing competitive weight lifting (my sport). Muscular strength will dramatically impact how well you can perform any of these recreational activities.
One aspect of physical capability that is often overlooked when discussing the negative effects of aging is the decline in motor skills. That is, when people do not perform a complex physical task on a regular basis, the signals from the brain that control coordinated movement will diminish and eventually vanish. In short, if you want to have effective movement, the maxim "use it or lose it" is righ on point. The good news is that you can actually re-learn how to most of the really demanding complex movements that are needed for good coordination. The way to do this is by practicing complex motyor skills reguarly. In the course I have developed you will learn new patterns of movement over time, and gradually re-build your capability to do some really complex physical activities.
Finally, flexibility is an issue with many seniors. Like your motor skill pattens, if your body is not put into a variety of different positions on a regular basis, you will lose the ability to get into these positions. One of the real negtative aspects of having restricted movement is that it leads to many chronic pain conditons, such as lower back pain. If your flexibility limits what you can do, you will not be able to do many things you would probably like to do. The good news is that you can re-build your flexibility through focused training. You can become more limber over time if you train consistently. In my course, you will learn to do a variety of movements that will help you to become more and more flexible.
To best approximate conditoning for real life, each movement you do should train two or more of these four dimensions. For example, when you lift weights you should train for muscular strength, motor skill, and flexibility. If you lift weights for high repetitions, you will also add cardio conditioning in doing the same movement. When you run or swim, you will condition not only your cardiovascular system, but by varying pace and cadence, you will build muscular strength and cordination. You will find that all the movements in my course work two or more dimensions in every movement.
OK....now you may wonder who am I to make all these statements....and what proof do I offer that my system will actually work? Let me tell you a little about myself.
71 Years Old and Going REALLY Strong!
How can I claim that you can transform your body? For one thing, I'm 71 years old and have the body of a much younger man. I have never taken hormone replacements, performance enhancing drugs, or any other prescription drugs that would impact how I have aged. I'm not a "freak of nature" nor am I the beneficiary of "secret medical treatments". I'm just a person who has learned how to do a great job of taking care of myself, and I want to share this with you. I would really like you to enjoy the same level of health and fitness that I enjoy every day.
What are some of the things I regularly do that show I have a very high level of phsical conditioning? For openers, I compete in the sport of powerlifting. At 5' 10" I normally weigh 185 pounds. In the past two years my best competitive lifts are: Full squat (below parallel) 436 lbs, Bench press 275 lbs, and Deadlift 451 lbs. Those are lifts done in a contest in front of three referees....not "gym lifts" where you can claim anythng you want and no one will know the difference.
How about some other things? I have been running for over 40 years and regularly run 2-3 miles after my weight training workouts just because I enjoy running! I also swim on a regular basis and occasionally do yoga. All of this activity means that long hikes, cutting firewood, carrying almost anything around the house, and hopping up flights of stairs are routine.
My choice of activities may not be what you want to do...but being in top condition will allow you to get the most out of your choices. For example, if you are a golfer, physical strength and endurance will cut strokes off your game because you will have better muscle control for the entire round. You will get less fatigued, and be able to better control your shots for the entire 18 holes. The same applies if you play tennis, or other raquet sports.
However, the main benefit for being in top conditon: you get to feel great 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, all year!
What is the secret?
When Ponce de Leon groped through the wilderness in Florida looking for the mythical "fountain of youth", he was essentially looking for a "magic trick" that would change him from an older man to a young man. Today most people seem to think about regaining their youth in the same way...simply find a "magic" potion and take it. No effort required, simply drink something and the years drop away.
Stated this way, the whole idea seems rediculous. We all know there is no magic water that will take a decade off your body with no effort. However, many people seem convinced that if they buy the latest fad, they can magically transform themselves with no work on their part. Quick....give me a pill, a shot, or wave a wand, and create a miraculous transformation. Of course, none of it works. People spend buckets of money on quack nostrams and get nothing. You don't want to be in this situation.
What is the secret?
It is not really a secret. Rather it is a system of training. It is a program for training your body, your mind and your brain to revive the processes that will keep you functioning at top efficiency regardless of your age. It is a system where you train smart! That is, you lay a solid foundation and then move through progressively more demanding levels of training to get better and better over time. There is a lot to it, and I have prepared a guide that will take you through a full year of training from just starting out, to being in great physical condition. Along the way, you will drop a decade off your body.
Introducing A Guide to Getting Younger After 60
I want to introduce you to a breakthrough training system that takes you step by step out of your recliner chair and back to full speed. This is a program that I have developed out of my 55+ years of training and study in the area of human performance. Think about it. Would you like to:- cut a lot of fat and build muscle
- regain your mobility
- increase your energy
- have a huge boost in your self confidence
- have a better social life
not have thought about. These are things like:
- look great!
- have a great sense of personal accomplishment
- feel sexy
- have no limits on enjoying time with your family and friends
- be in better condition than you ever thought possible
That is what is unique about this program. It does not matter what your deficiencies are, the program is structured so that you can work on your deficiencies and build them up to the point where you have a balanced physical development. In some cases people who begin this program were not strong or flexible enough to do basic movements such as the bench press or squat. Instead, they began training with movements that enabled them to develop the strength and flexibility to do the more demanding movements.
One of the things people seem to always ask me about are the potential risks of doing exercise programs. My response is always that if you are over 60, before you embark on any exercise program you should have your physician clear you to participate. You need to put your mind at ease before you start training. If you are cleared to train, you can begin work on building a new you.
Occasionally I hear people tell me that they have tried training before and "it didn't work", or they are "too busy", or some other reason why they didn't succeed. Whatever the reason that their previous efforts did not produce results, they are now in the situation where they need to make a serious investment in the rest of their life. Whatever reasons they had in the past, they need to drop these excuses, and move on to becoming the best that they can be.
For a moment, think about the things you would do if you had the strong, energetic and healthy body you want. What would an average day look like? What would a special day look like. You can live this life, if you take acation now.
What is the secret?
The secret is one of the things that you have known all along....it will take work. But, you will not just work hard, you will have to work smart. You know there is no magic trick that is going to do the job. You can't go to the doctor and get anything for this. You are the only one who can build a strong, healthy body for yourself. You can't outsource this job. So, now is the time to take action.
How badly do you want to have a younger body? If this is what you want, you need to commit to making this happen, and take action now. Your big enemy is procrastination. If you don't begin doing something now, you may lapse back into your old ways.
How do I make a "younger me"?
You have to begin restoring a lot of the functional strength and flexiblity that you have lost over the years. To do this you will need to do the following things:
- reduce your body fat
- rebuild your balance and coordination
- restore your range of motion
- build functional strength
- improve your cardiovascular system
- eat like a champion
- have the mindset that helps you grow
Building a body you will love to inhabit begins with understanding what you will have to do to get from where you are now, to where you want to be. In the physical training portion of the program you will be taken step by step through a series of exercises and training movements that will restore lost function. For example, right now you may not be able to lift heavy things off the floor because you have not used your back and legs "forever". The exercise program will help you gradually restore this lost function by very carefully re-training your body to do these movements, and build up the strength and flexibility needed to do them without a problem. You will also keep building up the stronger parts of your body. In not too long you will have a body where your strength and flexibility are well balanced.
Building the body you will love to inhabit also means learning how to habitually eat things that are good for you. Right now you may come to meal time and suddenly be confronted with the "what do I do now" issue. When that happens, you will tend to eat whatever is on hand, or convienient. You may not have any real sense of how much you should eat. To help you transform how you eat every day I have devised some very simple guidelines. You can stock your pantry with the right things, and learn how to routinely eat the right amount at the right time.
Enjoying the things that make life worth living are the reasons that we strive to build strong and healthy bodies. Enhancing your "mental" health will be a major part of building and sustaining a great body. By this I refer to your "mindset", or the way you are able to grow and change throughout your life. I'll introduce you to some of the best resources available to help you continue to build positive changes in your life, and enjoy the rewards of being able to live each day to the fullest.
If this sounds like a lot to digest at once, be assured that I break down everything into easy to follow guidelines and programs that make it easy for you to succeed.
