About the Author

Hi..   I’m Richard Schuller.

At age 70 I have learned a lot about keeping fit and staying healthy when you are “over 40”. My knowledge in this area has come from almost six decades of playing different sports (eight in all), training in many different ways, and studying what actually can help get us in good physical and mental condition, and what is nothing more than advertising hype.

I created a program that can help any man or woman who is in our “age group” regain a lot of their physical vitality, mental energy and love of life. You can have better health than you ever thought possible.

My Approach

Since I started training with weights in 1955, I have seen literally hundreds of training systems, diets, programs, “miracle cures” and health fads. I have tried most of the training diets, done a ton of research, and checked out almost every legal supplement ever put on the market. In short, I know from long experience what works and what is junk.   When I find something that really works, I stick with it, study it, refine it and use it in my own training. So, when I recommend something to you, it will be based on years of hands on experience, and the fact that it works for me, and for those that I have been training.

I’m a retired scientist and enjoyed a 35 year career in research and development. I did not get formal training in exercise science or nutrition, but I did carefully study literally dozens of training programs, diets, supplements, and training devices over the last 56 years of my own training.   I have used a wide variety of training diets, such as low carb, low fat, Mediterranean, high protein, etc. I have trained with weights since 1955. In my early years I competed in several sports including football, basketball, wrestling, track and Olympic style weightlifting. Since “turning 30” I have competed in running (all distances from 100 meters to 15 miles), “recreation league” softball, and since 1986, competitive powerlifting. Currently I am a national level competitor in this sport.

There are literally hundreds of products and programs on the market that are supposed to help you “stay young” or recover your health and vigor. Many of them are simply selling you a bunch of pills, or other “magic cures”. I won’t do that. My approach is to provide you only with things that I have used, or use at present. I’ll never suggest something that I think is questionable or that I know to be useless.

When I prepared for a sport, I literally studied everything I could find on training and conditioning to do my best. Along the way it has been my great good fortune to know many world class athletes, and learn about how they trained. I have also trained and coached hundreds of people ranging in age from 12 to 80.

What this means is that I’m hoping to pass along many of the things I have learned in the past half century (plus) on how you can build the healthiest body possible for you.

1.       Training Programs: This is where you will find the programs I have devised that I believe will be of the greatest benefit to any person over 50, 60 or beyond. They begin with a foundation program that can benefit anyone regardless of whether you are just beginning, or whether you have been training for a while.
2.       Products I recommend: In these areas I cover a range of things from supplements to other training programs, to products that will help you look and feel younger. I’m very selective on the things I recommend, and very carefully assess anything that goes into this area. The listings will change over time, so be certain to revisit the area regularly.
3.       Blog: I post to this area twice per week and comment on a range of topics that are pertinent to looking and feeling younger.
4.       Archive: This is an area where I selectively place articles that can be of value to you. All of them are free downloads.
